Penrith Art Club was founded in 1960 and the club currently has 140 members.

Monthly meetings (except December and August) are held at Brunswick School, Brunswick Road, Penrith. Free and plentiful parking spaces are available at Bluebell Car Park, adjacent to the school. Meetings start at 7.15pm on the last Tuesday of the month and finish at 9pm. There is an interval for tea/coffee, biscuits and the opportunity to socialise and get to know other members.

The monthly activities vary through the year and include demonstrations by professional artists on a wide range of media and subjects, lectures on art history or practical drawing/painting evenings.

Additionally full or part-time demonstrations/workshops are arranged at other locations with a tutor for landscape, life or still life subjects.

During the summer months weekly outdoor painting evenings are arranged at various locations of interest. There are many to choose from in this lovely area!

The club also organises monthly whole day life painting or drawing sessions with professional models but without tuition.

Visits are arranged to galleries and exhibitions in the UK.

Our annual exhibition of members' work takes place in mid-summer and is held at St Andrews Centre, Penrith for a week in August.
